About Us
What's a Sugardoodle?
When we decided to adopt our first Doodle ever we drove all the way up to Indiana to get her. She was the sweetest most adorable little puppy ever and I was in love. We spent the long drive back batting back and forth a name but at first nothing stuck. We wanted something Christmasy, it was winter so it fit. "Winter!" I said. Nah. "Chai? How about Sugarcookie?" and in that moment we looked at each other and a magical combo of names was formed. "Winter Chai Sugarcookie Fagan!" Don't laugh... I hear you laughing. Yes, I know we were being ridiculous. But the Sugar half of the name stuck and it fit her perfectly. And on the rest of that car ride an idea was hatched. "What if we decide to make more puppies one day? We could call them Sugardoodles!" And that my friends is how the story of our name came to be. So what is a Sugardoodle? It's the best description of what a doodle is. The sweetest most loving breed I have ever owned. Here at Sugardoodles our goal is to create the most adorable and loving companions for families, who will be cherished for years to come. These intelligent and affectionate dogs are known for their cuddles and wet kisses, bringing joy and warmth to every home. Our carefully selected breeding pairs ensure that our puppies inherit the best qualities from their parents, resulting in healthy and well-socialized dogs. If you are looking for a loyal and sweet furry friend, our Sugardoodle dogs are the perfect choice.
Our Story
We started our journey back in 2016. Breeding was in the blood and I had had a part in it as a child, so I had an idea of what I was doing. We started out with a plastic pool and shredded newspapers in the back of our first home in the country - armed with a camera, a willingness to learn, and a dream of being able to be a stay at home mom one day. Fast forward seven years, five litters, four moves, and three children latter and here we are still growing and going strong. We learned a lot along the way and each year we improve and grow. I love my family more than anything in the world and I love this business because it allows me to be apart of their lives and also so that my children can have a taste of the unique childhood I had raising and playing with puppies. It's a good life. It has it's challenges, but it's a blessing. Without my husband's support and incredible patience none of this would have been possible. And without my first ever buyers who were willing to take a chance on a first time breeder, way back when in that little old house in the country, my business would have never become a reality. To them I say a very sincere thank you, you may never know how much you blessed us.
